Pick you up from your hotel on departure time, and then drive to the Badaling Great Wall (60 miles away from downtown, about one and a half hour driving).- the most representative part, was promoted as a key national cultural relic, and protected under the approval of the State Council in 1961.
In 1988, it was enlisted in the World Cultural Heritage Directory by UNESCO. After lunch, we drive back to visit Tiananmen Square. Located at the center of Beijing City is Tiananmen Square, where you can visit Tiananmen Tower, Monument to the People's Heroes, Great Hall of the People, Mao Zedong Memorial Hall and see the national flag raising ceremony. Thousands of people come to the Square every day. It is the must place to visit in Beijing City. On the square’s north end is the Gate of Heavenly Peace, which leads towards the Forbidden City. From the north end of Tiananmen Square, we will enter the Forbidden City. Lying at the center of Beijing, the Forbidden City, called Gu Gong in Chinese, was the imperial palace during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Now known as the Palace Museum, it is to the north of Tiananmen Square. Rectangular in shape, it is the world's largest palace complex and covers 74 hectares. Surrounded by a six meter deep moat and a ten meter high wall are 9,999 buildings. After the whole day tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel. (L)
